On June 22, the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, together with Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC), jointly convened a round-table seminar, entitled “Building China-Nigeria Parties Consonance, Performing Nigeria-China Symphony”. H.E. LI Mingxiang, Assistant Minister of International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) attended the seminar online. Leaders and high-level representatives of political parties in Nigeria participated in person.

H.E. LI Mingxiang stressed that under the principles of “independence, equality, mutual respect, and non-interference”, the CPC is willing to enhance friendly exchanges with Nigerian political parties, share views on issues of mutual concern, push forward pragmatic cooperation and jointly build the community with a shared future for mankind.

H.E. CUI Jianchun, the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria briefed the participants of China’s political system, CPC’s 100-Year history and achievements, highlighting Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. He called the two countries to Share Chinese Harmony and Perform Nigeria-China Symphony under the framework of the 5GIST Nigeria-China GDP Strategy, stressing the important roles the parties would play in this regard.

The participants highly commended the bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and China, expressed strong interests in experience learning, and agreed to strengthen friendly ties of the two countries and peoples at all levels.
