On September 17, 2024, H.E. Yu Dunhai, Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, attended the Nigeria Special Event of Written in the Sky: My China Story initiated by China Media Group(CMG) and delivered a speech.

Ambassador Yu said that the CMG Africa initiated this event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation by sharing touching stories between China and Africa. The latest state visit of President Tinubu to China and his attendance at the 2024 Summit of FOCAC have opened a new era in bilateral relations, mapped out a new blueprint for China-Nigeria cooperation and catalyzed new momentum of the Global South. Serving as the 15th Chinese ambassador to Nigeria, he looks forward to working with people from all walks of life of Nigeria to translate the important consensus reached between the two heads of state into more benefits to the two peoples. Ambassador Yu wished all guests attending the event a happy Mid-Autumn Festival and family reunion.

Hon. Ja'afaru Yakubu, Chairman of House Committee On  Nigeria-China Relations Committee, House of Representatives, and the Bureau Chief of CMG Africa, Song Jianing participated in the event. Representatives from Nigerian media and think tanks were also among the nearly 150 attendees.
