Director General of NCAC Speaks Highly of CDAC

With the theme of "Exchanges and mutual learning among Asian civilizations and a community with a shared future," the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC) which aims to deepen cooperation between China and other countries, was successfully held in Beijing, China.

As one of representatives from Nigeria to attend CDAC, Mr. Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, Director-General of National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), just returned home from Beijing a few days ago. On 27 May, Mr. Li Xuda, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, met with Mr. Runsewe and had a cordial talk with each other.

Mr. Runsewe expressed his profound appreciation to the Chinese government for the invitation for him to attend CDAC, his special thanks also go to China side for giving him the opportunity to be among the panelists at the Forum for Culture, Tourism and People to People Exchanges hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of P. R. China.

While talking about the just-concluded CDAC, Mr. Runsewe said that the conference was not only highly educating and deeply inspiring; it also provided a unique opportunity for him to interact with key players in the culture and tourism sector from all parts of the World. It was a learning experience and knowledge sharing of a life time. He stressed that it was indeed heart-warming that China and Nigeria have maintained a very robust and mutually rewarding diplomatic and cultural relations for a long time.

Mr. Li Xuda said that China cherishes its good relations with Nigeria in the fields of education, culture, health, technology amongst others. China is determined to sustain and build on it for the well-being of the two countries and the two peoples.
