On October 17, Ambassador Yu Dunhai met with Prof. Eghosa Emmanuel Osaghae, Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).

Ambassador Yu stated that as the world undergoes accelerating changes unseen in a century, humanity stands at a new crossroads. President Xi Jinping has solemnly put forward the Global Governance Initiative, further contributing Chinese wisdom and solutions to strengthen and improve global governance, injecting greater stability and certainty into a turbulent world. The core principles of the Global Governance Initiative align closely with the intrinsic needs of China-Nigeria cooperation. China is willing to work with Nigeria to enhance think tank exchanges and cooperation, deepen policy communication and research exchanges, and contribute more wisdom to advancing the China-Nigeria comprehensive strategic partnership.

Prof. Osaghae emphasized that concepts such as the Community of Shared Future for Mankind and the Global Governance Initiative proposed by China hold significant global and contemporary importance. Nigeria looks forward to establishing closer ties with Chinese think tanks and strengthening cooperation in areas of policy research and women's development.
