Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with Representatives of Chinese Language Teachers in Nigeria

On November 8, 2024, Ambassador Yu Dunhai met with over 20 Chinese language teachers working in Nigeria at the Chinese Embassy. Cultural Counsellor Yang Jianxing attended the meeting.

Ambassador Yu emphasized that state-to-state relations thrive when people forge bonds, and people forge bonds when hearts connect. He commended the teachers' vital role in promoting cultural exchanges and people-to-people understanding between China and Nigeria. During the FOCAC Beijing Summit, the 'Ten Partnership Actions' were announced with cultural exchanges being a key component. He encouraged the teachers to seize this opportunity to serve as cultural ambassadors and cultivate more inheritors and promoters of China-Nigeria friendship.

The teachers pledged to fulfill their mission and actively contribute to bilateral cultural and educational cooperation. 

Teachers participating in this event mainly come from the Confucius Institute at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Confucius Institute at the University of Lagos, University of Nigeria, University of Abuja, and Nigerian Navy Resource Centre.
