On September 17, 2025, the inauguration ceremony of the 15th "Chinese Corner" was held at Government Secondary School Nyanya, Abuja. Mr. Yang Jianxing, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, Mr. Che Yuan, Executive Director of CGC Nigeria Ltd., Dr. Danlami Hayyo, Secretary for Education of the FCT, and Dr. Muhammed Sani Ladan, Director of the Second Education Board of the FCT, attended the event.

In his speech, Yang Jianxing stated that 2026 is the "China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges" as well as the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nigeria. This will bring new development opportunities for cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries. He expressed confidence that the "Chinese Corner" will play a greater role in promoting mutual understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries, and hoped that students at the "Chinese Corner" will pass on the torch of China-Nigeria friendship from generation to generation.

Ladan and Hayyo delivered speeches, sincerely thanking the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria and CGC Nigeria Ltd. for their contributions to the establishment of the "Chinese Corner". They urged students to make good use of this valuable resource, earnestly learn the Chinese language, broaden their cultural horizons, benefit the people of both countries, and make unremitting efforts for Nigeria-China friendship.
