On January 25, the 2025 'Happy Chinese New Year' Temple Fair, jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy of Nigeria, and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, was successfully held in Nigeria. Over 2,000 attendees participated in the temple fair, including H.E. Yu Dunhai,Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Raphael O. Oraeluno, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy of Nigeria, Xu Zhentao, Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, diplomats from multiple countries in Nigeria, representatives of Nigerian society, and overseas Chinese people.

In his speech, Ambassador Yu Dunhai noted that following the successful UNESCO inscription of the Spring Festival as an intangible cultural heritage last year. Chinese New Year has become a celebration for the world. China is committed to implementing the outcomes of the leaders' meeting between China and Nigeria and the FOCAC Summit, expanding practical cooperation across sectors, and advancing the China-Nigeria community with a shared future.
The temple fair featured six main sections: high-quality performances, intangible cultural heritage displays, Chinese cuisine experiences, interactive games, and more, receiving widespread acclaim from all attendees.
