On December 8, 2025, the "China-Africa Audio-Visual Showcase in Nigeria" event was held at the China Cultural Center in Nigeria. Distinguished guests from both China and Nigeria attended, including Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai, Director-General Shi Zhiyan from the National Radio and Television Administration of China, Salihu, Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), and Charles, Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) of Nigeria.
In his speech, Ambassador Yu emphasized that the audio-visual  showcase is one of the important initiatives to implement the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the consensus reached by the heads of state of China and Nigeria. He expressed the expectation that more audio-visual works will present to Nigerian audiences a true, multi-dimensional, and panoramic view of China that is reliable, admirable, and respectable, and sincerely welcomed more outstanding Nigerian audio-visual content to enter China.

Shi Zhiyan noted in his speech that against the backdrop of technological transformation in information technology, he hoped both sides would strengthen policy and conceptual communication, deepen exchanges in audio-visual content, expand cooperation in technology and industry, and increase personnel exchanges.

Nigerian guests warmly welcomed the Chinese delegation to Nigeria for the audio-visual showcase, expressing the hope that this event will serve as a catalyst to usher in a new chapter of mutually beneficial cooperation between the radio and television industries of the two countries.
