The Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria met with the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education of Nigeria

On September 28, Mr.Yan Xiangdong, the Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy and Director of the China Cultural Center in Nigeria, met with Mrs. Hajia Hindatu Abdullahi, the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education of Nigeria.

Mrs. Abdullahi welcomed Mr. Yan’s visit, and pointed out that there are bright prospects for cooperation in education between the two countries. Nigeria is grateful that China offers government scholarships to Nigeria every year.

Counselor Yan said that education cooperation of two countries plays an important role in the China-Nigeria people-to-people exchange. In 2016, China will offer more scholarships to Nigerian students and expects more Nigerian youth to study in China and help strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
